OUR FOUNDER

Coughlan Homes founder Jerry Coughlan launched his real estate development company in 1958 with a small loan from his mother. He built his first home in East York, quickly expanding throughout the GTA. A passionate golfer, Jerry built the renowned Glen Cedars Golf Club in Pickering in 1968, and later established Deer Creek in Ajax. Known as a building pioneer and philanthropist, Jerry was a humble man with a strong work ethic, and he fostered a company culture that made every employee feel like they were part of the family. That culture continues to this day.
